PestPatrol Anti-Spyware

PestPatrol was established in 2000 by 3 experts in the computer
security business. Over the next several years, the Company had
emerged has a key player in the growing Anti-spyware industry.
In order to take advantage of this fast growing market, the
Company needed to expand and revise its marketing strategy and effort, and
develop a new business to business sales and marketing strategy.
Challenge
Grow the business.
Establish the company as a major player in the anti-spyware
market and increase
market share. Set the Company up for a potential acquisition.
Solution
Initially hired as a
Business to Business marketing consultant, the first task was to
review and revise the Company's marketing strategy. Within 2
weeks of signing on with PestPatrol, John Sancin planned and conducted a two
day strategy session with Company
executives and developed a revised business and marketing
strategy. Shortly after that session, John Sancin's responsibilities were
expanded to that of Vice President of Marketing and a month later to
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Working in
the
capacity of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, John
Sancin accomplished following over the next several
months.

Upon
the successful completion and implementation of the new business
and marketing strategy and marketing programs John Sancin took over
responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer. In this new
position, John Sancin took over management of all aspects of the
Company. He served with the CEO and CTO in the "Office of the
President" and began the process of restructuring the Company to
meet the upcoming needs of the organization.
Results
PestPatrol grew at an
accelerated rate achieving 500 percent of the previous years
revenue in just six months. The Company's fast track increase in
market share gained the attention of both analysts and larger
computer security software companies. As a result, PestPatrol
received an unsolicited offer from Computer Associates to
purchase PestPatrol. The Company was sold in August of 2004.
