Event Expo 2007
There are no good ideas, only good implementations. And in the case of Event Expo 2007 the idea and the implementation came together in just 88 days. Hank Frisch, President of Team Promotions, and Rick Turner, Executive Director of Cleveland's Forum Conference Center had come up with an idea to jointly promote their businesses. They decided to have a conference that catered to Northeast Ohio's meeting planners. The goal was simple. Find 50 exhibitors and attract 500 meeting planners to a conference to be held at the Forum. And do it all in less than 3 months!
It was at that point they called on John Sancin to help organize, plan, and implement the event. It became a living example of what can be done when like minded, committed people come together to achieve a specific goal.
Challenge
The challenge here was obvious; get the job done quickly and professionally so that the targets for sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees would be met. The job involved three different target audiences and the only business material that existed was a few ideas jotted on a piece of paper.
Solution
Hank and Rick took on the responsibility of signing up sponsors, exhibitors, and oh yes, speakers. The speakers were a last minute addition to the list. John Sancin Consulting helped create and develop the business model and marketing plan. John Sancin Consulting designed and created all supporting marketing and sales material including:

Results
According to Nancy M. Valent of NMV Strategies, Cleveland's Event Expo was a huge success. It was an event to top all events drawing 80 exhibitors and over 400 attendees for the first time conference of its kind. According to John Ferry of Gameco/PCI: "I thought it was great! I made tremendous contacts and it was far better than any other tradeshow I have participated in previously." |
